Kanye West Sex Tape: Cease and Desist letter issued

So it looks like those Kanye West sex taperumors (with a Kim Kardashian-look-alike, no less) are true. AllHipHop News has obtained the cease and desist letter that West’s lawyer, Lisa M. Buckley, has sent to several media outlets that published purported screenshots of the video.

In a letter distributed on Sunday, Buckleywrites:

“Be advised that the Screen Shot, as well as the Tape from which the Screen Shot was taken, were illegally obtained and believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer… Your posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and otherwise disseminating the Screen Shot and/or other materials on the Tape constitute actionable violations of Mr. West’s rights of privacy and publicity.”

The alleged 20-minute sex tape, which RadarOnline first reported about on Sept. 21, was offered $1 million from Sex.com. Another industry expert said that the video’s value could be even higher: Vivid Video’s Steve Hirsch estimates that it could be worth “a couple million dollars.”

Perhaps West’s girlfriend, Kardashian, could offer him a helping hand in managing the fallout of the video. After a sex tape of the reality star and then-boyfriend Ray J hit the internet in 2007, Kardashian settled with the film’s distributor, Vivid Entertainment, for a cool $5 million.
