Clarion Jazz and arranger, composer, pianist Nat Adderley, Jr. with cornetist Longineu Parsons and saxophonist Diron Holloway invites you to the West Coast premiere performance of the Music of Cannonball and Nat Adderley.This Evening of Jazz will include such Adderley classics and originals as Autumn Leaves, Fiddler On The Roof, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, Never Say Yes, The Jive Samba, This Here, Unit 7 and Work Song on the 82nd and 79th anniversaries of their births.
Nat Adderley, Jr., best known as music director and the man behind Luther Vandross until his untimely death in 2005, arranged and composed such Grammy award winning arrangements and compositions as A House Is Not A Home, Give Me The Reason, Here And Now, Super Star and The Closer I Get To You duet
with Beyonce that won a Grammy in 2004 for best performance by a duo.
As the son of cornetist Nat Adderley, Sr. and nephew of Julian Cannonball Adderley this is Nat’s return to his jazz roots.
Other members of the ensemble include bassist Trevor Ware and drummer Roy McCurdy who performed and recorded with The Cannonball and Nat Adderley Quintet.$15.00 Cover Charge + 2 Beverages or Dinner Per Person.
