First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughter, Sasha had a lunch with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia Sunday their summer palace on Majorca on the final day of her girl’s only vacation in Europe before they jetted back to Washington later in the day.
The relatively intimate gathering came the day after a star-studded charity gala in Marbella that Obama was invited to but sent her regrets.
The First Lady chose a quiet dinner with friends over the celebrity charity event at the five-star luxury Villa Padierna, hosted by Hollywood A-listers Antonio Banderas and Eva Longoria on the last night of her holiday in Spain the same hotel where the Obama party was checked in.
The First Lady, her youngest daughter Sasha, and their group — which included a number of Mrs Obama’s friends – had left the Spanish coast and traveled to Ronda, Spain for day of sightseeing accompanied by their vast security escort in a 13 car motorcade.
The group visited historic sites and later stopped for lunch at Del Escudero restaurant, set in a 19th century villa with whitewashed walls and red roof tiles located next to the bullring.
